New Fantasy Maps from The Elusive Foe by Interaction Point Games

This map was created for the Pathfinder adventure The Elusive Foe by Interaction Point Games which has just come out. The action takes place in Scotland and the route takes in rolling forested hills and ruined towers. The real fun here was in the icons, and the inset map. I’m from Scotland so it was great to have the chance to illustrate a part of the world I know really well.

I wasn’t totally sure how the inset map would work, but I broke out the grunge brushes and messed up the parchment to make it look folded and worn. I combined with a little drop shadow to pull it out from the background and I like the way it came out. It was also a fun opportunity to play around with some different fonts too.

The action takes the adventurers deep into hostile marsh territory and they get to explore a hidden marsh base:

This was a simple little map, with a wooden palisade, thatched huts and a few trees – but far from simple for the adventurers.

It’s always fun to have variety, and with all the map tiles I’ve been doing recently it was a great break to take on a couple of straightforward regional maps. The guys at Interaction Point Games were great to work with and I’ve had a look through the finished product. It’s top notch and if you like the maps you should certainly check out the adventure on RPGNow or Paizo.
