This was an old sketch with ballpoint pen in the back of a pad of paper. Recently I pulled this into photoshop to do a little tidying up, and ended up adding a touch of colour and shade.

If you’re interested in how to draw a map like this, here’s the steps, and the relevant tutorials to follow for each:
- draw the lineart for the isometric dungeon map (use this isometric grid paper to make life a little easier).
- take a photo (or scan) and colour correct in Photoshop or Gimp
- throw the map over an aged paper background
- add colour and shade to the map.
