It’s been a while since I posted any work, so here’s a piece I did for Noah Murphy for his book series K23 Detectives. You can check them out on Kindle and in print. It was an interesting challenge getting a black and white map to read clearly for the different Kindle formats.
Lovely map! I’m struggling with some jungle textures and just wondered if you handled jungle any differently than regular forest?
For jungle I tend to go with spikier trees. Basically you just need some textural variation that pulls it apart from the rounded temperate deciduous forest. It’s tough to do clearly on small scales though.
That’s awesome. My mapping almost all black and white, so this is really helpful to see.
